Foley sound is the recording of everyday sounds for the use of film making. This is done because during the filming process sound may become lost due to other noise in the background. In the editing process programmes such as Sound Track Pro can be used to incorporate a soundtrack to your footage.

During our filming process we felt as we needed to record our own foley sound, ranging from footsteps, doors opening and the sound of music. We felt this to be beneficial as our sounds will be specifically suited to our own needs and also searching through each sound would be quite time consuming and may waste valuable time as we have a deadline to meet.
