Intertextuality

Intertexuality : is the shaping of texts' meanings by other texts, it can include an authors burrowing and transformation of a prior text or to a reader referencing of one text in reading another 

A example of this being done is in an American spoof movie called Disaster movie which encounters other well known text references from different movies and television shows this is shown through many of the characters by there use of identity costume, similar camera shots and music which is represents a certain person (Hannah Montana)
