As a group we broke the sequence of a film opening and noticed that most films follow a pattern and this is a good example of a Timeline which demonstrates the conventional title Sequence. |
Title sequences are the conventions of a film opening. A film is usually introduced by its production/distribution company in the beginning as they are the most important in terms of making the actual film. It is then followed by the main actors and crew whilst the title doesn't really have a fixed position. But the image of the title sequence which is on the left has its title 25 seconds into the opening which is roughly in the beginning. However, we analysed up to 3 movies and and noticed that the title don't really have a fixed position but we have failed to find a film where the title was shown at the end of a a title sequence.
Here is a conventional title sequence:
- Name Of the Production/ Distribution company
- Producer name
- Main Actors
- Film Title
- Other Actors (featured Actors)
- Casting Director
- Composer of Music
- Production Designer
- Editor
- DOP - Director Of Photography
- Producer/ CO producer/ Executive Producer
- Story by/ Written by
- Director
Here is some further analysis we made about the time line above. |
